Yes. Enterprise is an essential services provider that remains open to meet critical transportation and personal mobility needs. We are committed and ready to help you get wherever you need to be.
Each rental vehicle at Enterprise is thoroughly cleaned between every rental and backed with our Complete Clean Pledge. This includes washing, vacuuming, general wipe down, and sanitising with a disinfectant that meets leading health authority requirements, with particular attention to more than 20-plus high-touch points. We also extend the Complete Clean Pledge to our shuttles (for airport locations) and neighborhood branches.
To help protect both customers and employees, we have modified our car rental process. This includes the addition of kerbside rentals at our locations to help promote social distancing by getting you quickly on your way while avoiding foot traffic in our locations.
Delivery is also offered at select car rental locations throughout the country. Please contact your rental branch for availability.
Whether you are picking your vehicle up kerbside, or if we deliver it to you, we’re committed to maintaining proper distance throughout the process.
If you are currently renting a car with us, your local branch should be reaching out to you about options to return your rental vehicle. If you have any additional questions or are looking for more information, please call 0800 111 4312.
You can modify or cancel your reservation via our website or mobile app. We have extended our existing no-fee cancellation policy to include customers with pre-paid rentals booked directly through us. To extend your car rental, you can click “Call to Extend Your Rental” in our mobile app. You can also call your rental branch or 0800 800 227 to extend your reservation.
Situated just six miles from Newcastle city centre, Newcastle International Airport handles just under 5 million passengers a year. As the north’s second busiest airport, it attracts travellers from across the north of England and southern Scotland. Although Newcastle has just one major long-haul route to Dubai, its international carriers fly to all major European destinations. It also handles domestic routes to and from southern England and the Channel Isles.
The airport started life in 1935 as Woolsington Aerodrome. With the increase in foreign package holidays during the late 1960s and high investment in infrastructure, the airport finally came of age in the 1970s, when it was re-categorised and renamed Newcastle International Airport. To help clients reach their final destination as smoothly as possible, the nearest Enterprise-Rent-A-Car office is a couple of minutes’ walk away at Car Rental Village, Woolsington, Newcastle. Exit the terminal by the international arrivals door. Follow the signs for the medium stay parking area, and you will see Enterprise’s welcoming office.
Whether visiting Newcastle to enjoy the heritage, culture, nightlife and attractions of what is one of the north of England’s most vibrant and lively cities or on a round of hectic business meetings and conferences, Enterprise has a vehicle to suit your needs. From small city cars to top of the range executive models, even greater savings can be made using one of Enterprise’s prepaid rental options.
To help you make the most of your hire car, Enterprise offers a one-way car hire option where you can hire your vehicle from any Enterprise office and return it to another office of your choice. Ideal for those on business where time is of the essence, it saves having to plan returning your vehicle into an already overloaded schedule. If you are considering flying into Newcastle Airport and returning south by road, enjoying the sights and attractions on the way down; it is an ideal option. No need to be crammed onto a long distance coach, stopping at the coach company’s designated stopping areas – with a one-way hire option from Enterprise, you are in the driving seat.
Enterprise’s varied modern and economical fleet includes people carriers for those larger parties. Small compact city cars are available for inner city driving, while comfortable medium and large saloons will transport you around the countryside in style. High-end executive saloons are available for company executives, while SUVs, sporty coupes and convertibles will get you noticed. Enterprise’s wide range of cars from the world’s leading manufacturers ensures whatever vehicle you choose, you are assured of high-end quality at a low price.
If your final destination is Newcastle City, leave the airport apron and pick up the A696 heading south. The city will be signposted; leave the A696 onto the A167 and you will be in the city centre in minutes. For those travelling farther afield, you can choose the A696 heading north; picking up the A68 will get you through to the Scottish Borders, while choosing the A1 from Newcastle City will have you in Edinburgh in a little over two hours. Wherever your journey takes you from the airport, Enterprise’s helpful staff can supply routes and maps to ensure a trouble-free journey to your final destination.
