Hiring a car at Geneva Airport (GVA)

Due to its location near the Alps and within easy reach of one of Switzerland's most cosmopolitan cities, Geneva International Airport is a popular destination for leisure travellers. Enterprise Rent-A-Car caters to visitors to the area with a branch offering car hires at Geneva International Airport, conveniently located at the airport's train and bus station. As you leave the airport in your rental car, you will be on the A1 motorway, a 250-mile road that crisscrosses Switzerland from east to west, offering easy access to other parts of the country, should Geneva not be your final destination. The distance to downtown Geneva is approximately 7 miles and if you want to do some sightseeing, or take a leisurely boat ride across the lake, you can leave your car at one of the car parking facilities located by the Jardin Anglais.

Like much of Switzerland, Geneva is a top destination for travellers in search of an outdoor adventure. The city has a privileged setting by the shores of Lake Geneva, and it's within easy reach of the Jura mountains, offering quick access to ski resorts, like Crozet and Grand Massif, which are only a 1-hour drive from the Geneva Airport Enterprise branch. Moreover, the branch is barely a 30-minute drive from the Saleve cable car, which is considered the gateway to Geneva's outdoor playground, and the ideal starting point for hiking, climbing, paragliding, and mountain biking activities. Park the car in the rental return area. There is a drop box where the customer should leave the keys - a copy of the rental agreement can be left inside the car. The vehicle remains the renters responsibility until it is checked in by an Enterprise employee the next business day.

The minimum age requirement for all vehicles is 21. A young driver fee of 19.90 CHF (excl. VAT) per day up to a maximum charge of 199.00 CHF (excl. VAT) applies for all renters between the age of 21 and 24.

Vehicles can be driven in all European countries excluding Albania, Belarus, Bosnia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Russia, Kaliningrad region, Turkey and Ukraine. No additional charges apply for cross border travels. Customers are not required to inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and no prior require authorization is needed.

Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDWTP) reduces the liability of the renter in the event of theft, attempted theft or damage to the bodywork of the vehicle, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. If CDWTP is not included in the reservation, the renter has full liability for the vehicle. CDWTP is available for purchase if not included in the booking.

If included in the reservation, the excess amount ranges between 1500 CHF and 5000 CHF depending on car class. Excess will be charged every time a vehicle is damaged. Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection is not insurance.

Renters wishing to discuss or dispute any matters concerning damage to the rental vehicle should contact our damage recovery department on claims@enterprise.ch.

All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it is collected from will be subject to a one way fee. The one way fee varies based on car category, location and pick up date. The exact amount of the one way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, desired route and car category.
