More art can be discovered at the stunning KunstCentret Silkeborg Bad, a historic spa hotel that has been transformed into a modern art space.

Silkeborg offers a variety of shopping options, with local boutiques and international brands around Borgergade and Center North. Shopping streets and pedestrianised areas include Vestergade, Søndergade, Nygade and Tværgade. Dining is also concentrated in these central zones, with local specialities including frikadeller (meatballs) and medisterpølse (fried sausage).

For those travelling with children, Silkegard and the surrounding forested region offer excellent days out. One of the highlights is Aqua, a zoo and aquarium centre built over natural lakes.
